The Machine is Us/ing Us
I found this little thing on YouTube. It's a nice, compact video essay that hits every one of the issues we've been unpacking in class: Web 2.0, hypertext, social networking, the non-linearity of digital text, blogging, new forms of creativity, etc., and does so in a very visually elegant fashion. It also points out many topics for further discussion that are also topics I've "asterixed" for down the road in class: identity, copyright, ethics, etc.
Watch it several times and take notes so we can talk about it in class. You may also want to check out the comments posted about it underneath---especially the disparaging ones.

I don't know about anyone else, but the videos are just coming up as images for me. When i click on them it doesn't play, it just enlarges. Anybody got an idea?
The images are just screenshots. The link is in the title of the video below them. Click on it.
